Olivia Hetreed

Olivia Hetreed is a multi-award-winning British screenwriter, film editor and mentor. She has recently written the feature film ‘Mrs Harris Goes to Paris’, directed by Anthony Fabian which will be screening at the Inward Eye Film Festival.

In 2003 she received a BAFTA nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay with her adaptation of Tracy Chevalier’s best-selling novel ‘Girl With a Pearl Earring‘, starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth. In 2011 she co-wrote Charlotte Bronte’s ‘Wuthering Heights‘ with Andrea Arnold, the Academy Award winning director.

Recent international films include ‘Finding Altamira‘ (2016), starring Antonio Banderas, Bosnia’s first animated feature, ‘Birds Like Us (2017) starring Alicia Vikander, Jeremy Irons and Jim Broadbent, and Mohamed al-Daradji’s ‘The Journey‘, Iraq’s Oscar entry for 2018. In 2013 she was named president of the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain, the largest writers’ union in Europe, from which she has just stepped down after 6 years.

Olivia was selected for the prestigious NFTS/Disney Diverse Directors scheme 2019 and has just completed her directorial debut short film, Home from Home‘. She is preparing to direct her first feature, ‘Mrs. Robinson’s Disgrace‘.

Anthony Fabian

Award winning producer and director of ‘Mrs Harris Goes to Paris’ Anthony Fabian will be joining us for a Q&A after the screening with writer Olivia Hetreed.

Anthony Fabian has produced and directed feature films, documentaries, commercials and shorts. His debut feature ‘Skin’ won 22 international awards, he latest feature ‘Mrs Harris Goes to Paris’ has recently been in cinemas and he has worked on ‘GoldenEye’, ‘Restoration’ and ‘Hilary and Jackie’.

David Wilkinson

David Nicholas Wilkinson was the director, producer, co-writer and presenter of ‘THE FIRST FILM’, ‘POSTCARDS FROM THE 48%’ and ‘GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER(S)’ and an executive producer of ‘HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD’. He has also produced many other documentaries and drama productions.

With drama he produced the BAFTA nominated ‘TO THE LIGHTHOUSE’ an adaptation of the Virginia Woolf novel and he produced ‘THE WEATHER IN THE STREETS’ adapted from Rosamund Lehman’s book

He produced Sir Anthony Hopkins’s directorial debut ‘DYLAN THOMAS: RETURN JOURNEY’. He also co-wrote the book ‘RONALD HARWOOD’S ADAPTATIONS.


Wilkinson has also distributed 120 films in the UK & Ireland in the cinema, on video/DVD, to television and online. Since 1998 apart from Alex Gibney’s ‘ZERO DAYS’ these were purposely only British & Irish films.
