Rydal Mount

Rydal Mount was the home of William Wordsworth from 1813 to his death in 1850. The house is still owned by the Wordsworth family and is set in 4 acres of garden which Wordsworth designed and in which he composed his poetry.

The house retains a family feel and is full of furniture and paintings relating to the poet. The house will be shut for the duration of the workshop and so participants will have a unique access to this venue, which, while Wordsworth was alive, was a magnet to Victorian art and culture.
